1. Eligibility & acceptance
The Service is for people aged 18 and over only. By using it you confirm that you are at least 18, legally able to enter this agreement, and that all details you provide are true. Bamboo Connect is an approval-based community, and we may approve, decline, suspend, or revoke membership at our reasonable discretion.
2. What the Service is
Bamboo Connect is a platform for community members to meet and to arrange real-world, in-person meetups. We provide the tool only; we are not a party to any meeting, introduction, event, transaction, or relationship between users, and we make no promise as to the number, quality, availability, or outcome of any matches, events, or meetups.
3. Account, registration & security
You must provide accurate, current information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account. One account per person. You may not transfer, sell, or share your account. Notify us of any unauthorized use.
4. Member conduct
You agree not to: harass, threaten, demean, or harm another user; impersonate any person or entity; post unlawful, offensive, misleading, discriminatory, or infringing content; harvest or misuse other users' information; send spam or unauthorized promotion; or circumvent security or disrupt the Service. Your identity and the information you publish must be real and your own.
5. In-person meetings - at your own risk
Meetups, events, and any real-world contact between users happen at your sole risk. We do not run background checks, deep identity verification, or criminal screening of users, and we do not vouch for the identity, intentions, safety, or conduct of any user. Meet in public places, tell someone you trust, and use good judgment. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any harm, injury, loss, or damage arising from a meeting, an event, or contact with another user.
6. Your content
Content you upload (profile details, photos, messages, meetup requests) remains yours. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, store, and process it to operate the Service. You are responsible for your content, confirm you have the rights to it, and that it does not violate any law or third-party rights. We may remove content that breaches these terms.
7. Points, rewards & AI features
Community points, scores, statuses, and rewards are virtual only, have no monetary value, are not redeemable for cash or transferable, and we may change, limit, revoke, or expire them at any time at our discretion. Some features (such as free-text search) may have a free quota and then cost points; the quota and price may change. AI-generated text (match explanations, profile descriptions, conversation openers, summaries) is a suggestion only: it may be inaccurate, is not a recommendation or advice, and should not be relied upon. Every introduction and meeting is your own judgement.
8. Privacy
Our use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these terms. Please read it.
9. Intellectual property
The Platform, code, design, name, marks, and our content are protected by intellectual-property rights owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or make commercial use of them without our prior written consent.
10. Third-party services & links
The Service relies on third-party providers (hosting, AI, email, and notifications) and may link to external sites or services. We are not responsible for the availability, content, policies, or conduct of third parties, and your use of them is subject to their terms.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, uninterrupted availability, accuracy, security, or freedom from errors or interruptions.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months before the event, or ILS 100 - whichever is greater.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us, our staff, and our agents harmless from any claim, demand, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your breach of these terms, your content, or your infringement of third-party rights.
14. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate your account or access at any time, including for breach of these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Provisions meant to survive (warranties, limitation of liability, indemnity, intellectual property, governing law) continue to apply after termination.
15. Changes to the terms and Service
We may update the Service and these terms from time to time. A material change will be published and will require fresh acceptance before you continue; continued use after an update means you accept the updated version.
16. Governing law & jurisdiction
These terms are governed solely by the laws of the State of Israel. The competent courts of the Tel Aviv-Jaffa district have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
17. Miscellaneous
If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us. Failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. You may not assign your rights without our consent; we may assign ours in connection with a transfer of the business.
